You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the area in close proximity to Mansfield Pond has to offer. Not far from Mansfield Pond, you'll stumble on Alford Lake which is a charming lake, and get wet paddling on Oyster River. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on St. George River is so much fun, and if you came for an       overnight stay Alford Lake Camp is a great spot to camp. Hiking along the Mount Battie Trail is tremendous fun; do take a look at Alford Lake Dam since you're here. The annual precipitation here at Mansfield Pond is about average; most of the rain falls through November, and February on the other hand is the driest. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at close by Cotton Pond; Mic Mac Cove Camp Ground is a perfect campground                  nearby. During the warmest time of the year here at Mansfield Pond, high temperatures commonly get into the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Mansfield Pond. The top of Hatchet Mountain is easily seen from Mansfield Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Mount Megunticook Trail; The Country Inn Camden-Rckprt is a fine place to get some rest.
