Mansell Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Through the summer months highs here at Mansell Pond get into the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Mansell Pond are in the 0's. Whitewater paddling is magnificent on Penobscot River, obviously you could also go to Holland Pond if you're here; it's not far at all. This lake

| | is so wonderful. Enjoy a round of golf at Hidden Meadows Golf Course not far from Mansell Pond, and New Hermon Mountain has pleasant slopes and a friendly staff. Don't forget to take a wonderful little visit to Costigan Brook, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Stillwater River. Bangor here at Mansell Pond, and there's splendid hiking along the Old Gold Mine Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Best Western Black Bear Inn & Conference Center is a good choice; the Scutaze Trail offers
hiking at its best. Mansell Pond is a relatively wet place typically with much precipitation; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is February. Nearby lakes? Sure, Pickerel Pond
is close to Mansell Pond, and Mansell Pond is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Pushaw Lake Campground is a tremendous local campground. University Inn Academic Suites is a wonderful place to get some rest. A brilliant
location to camp here at Mansell Pond is Greenwood Acres Campground, and great hiking is available along the Hardy Pond Trail.
