    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Mansell Pond. A perfect close by hotel is Best Western Black Bear Inn & Conference Center; there are some fine whitewater spots on Penobscot River. Mansell Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; the wettest month of the year is typically November, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Mansell Pond, you could check out Costigan Brook; camping at Pushaw  
   Lake Campground is always a splendid experience.
Really good skiing awaits you at New Hermon Mountain, and do take a hike on the Hardy Pond Trail. A beautiful lake like Holland Pond close to Mansell Pond is a good site to pop by; a perfect location to camp here at Mansell Pond is Greenwood Acres Campground.
You'll meet a lot of folks from Bangor here, and University Inn Academic Suites is a delightful place to get some rest. That right there is a lot
 
               already, but it goes on; Mansell Pond has it all. For you golfers we recommend close by Hidden Meadows Golf Course, and going for a hike along the Scutaze Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. Throughout the warmest time of the year here at Mansell Pond, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 70's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. During the winter highs are regularly in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Mansell Pond are in the 0's.
This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Stillwater River, and you can have a magnificent hiking adventure along the Old Gold Mine Trail.
