     There's so much to do here at Macdougall Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Enchanted Outfitters & Lodge is a brilliant site for that, and you can run the rapids of Pierce Pond Stream. This lake is so wonderful. On a delightful day you obtain a panorama of Cates Hill from Macdougall Pond, and Lost Pond is a magnificent lake close by. This lake is so wonderful. Macdougall Pond is right by the Arnolds Trail, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not take  
   a look at Brandy Pond. If only every location had this much outdoors entertaining stuff, what a great globe it would be. Stay the night at Northern Outdoors, and getting to Carrying Place Stream from Macdougall Pond is painless.
High temperatures at Macdougall Pond during the summertime are in the 70's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs all through the wintertime are typically in the 20's with temperatures at Macdougall Pond dipping
 
               down into the 0's all through winter nights. A great nearby hotel is Bingham Motor Inn; there's whitewater on Carrying Place Stream for all you adrenaline rush seekers. Macdougall Pond is a good site of typical rain; during November this area sees the most snow, and the driest of the months is February.
Sugarloaf USA is a great local ski area, and some interesting geology is available here, Henhawk Ledge is right here. The slopes of Eaton Mountain are so inviting noone can resist; Herbert Grand Hotel is a nice location to get some rest.

Breezy Acres Camps and Guide Service is located in both Solon and Eustis Maine. He have housekeeping cabins which are set up with full size stoves, refrigerators,microwave, coffee pot, toaster, pots, pans, dishes, etc. The beds are made with linens and there are plenty of towels for the shower in the bathroom. Each cabin has its own picnic table, charcoal grill and outside fire pit. We can sleep up to 38 people.

You can access snowmobile and ATV trails right from the cabin for many miles of riding. Canoeing and kayaking on various lakes, ponds, streams and rivers are a great way to relax. Hunting, fishing, golf and white water rafting are some of the other activities that we offer.

We offer reasonable rates and great hospitality.

Eaton Mountain provides affordable and convenient skiing, snowboarding, and snowtubing to the greater Waterville/Skowhegan area. The mountain boasts a suprising variety of terrain for a compact ski area including glades, challenging steeps, and classic New England style trails. Most of the area is covered with snowmaking and is lit for nightskiiing. Equipment rentals and lessons are available. The base lodge has a snackbar and provides a place to warm up by the wood stove and meet friends.
The ski area has new owners as of November 2008 and will not be operating for the 2008-09 ski season. The new owners will be taking the time to make improvements and prepare for a grand reopening in the fall of 2009. Immediate improvements are planned to include an all new snowtubing facility and widening of the Moose slope for a new terrain park.
The ski area is located on Lambert Road, just off Route 2 between Skowhegan and Canaan....
