Do stop by Lufkin Pond while you're in this part of Maine. Looking for some flowing water? Try Jont Stream; the snow is perfect at Saddleback. Going for a hike on the Piazza Rock Trail is always a wonderful adventure; the top of Rowe Hill is easily distinguished from Lufkin Pond. This lake is so wonderful. There are some splendid whitewater spots on Sandy River - South Branch.

Wilson Lake Inn is a delightful choice. If only every location had this much outdoors enjoyable things, what a great globe it would be. There's so much to do here at Lufkin Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Dummer's Beach
is a magnificent place for that, and if you come at the right time of year, Sandy River offers some wonderful whitewater. All through the summer at Lufkin Pond temperatures are commonly in the 70's, and during the night it cools down
to the 50's. During the wintertime highs are typically in the 20's; throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Lufkin Pond temperatures fall to the-10's.
