A day on the slopes of Big Squaw is just what you need. And if that's not sufficient, there's plenty more to do near Lucky Pond. There's some flowing water nearby, Lucky Brook is a stream you can pop by while here, and the Intake Trail offers hiking at its best. Lucky Pond gets a typical amount of rainfall; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain; February is the month with the       least moisture. Paddling on Kennebec River - West Outlet is so much fun, and the scenery at Lucky Pond Dam is pretty. Take a hike on the Big Squaw Mountain Trail, and a pleasant spot to camp here at Lucky Pond is Caseys Spencer Bay Campground. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not explore Little Duck Pond near Lucky Pond; camping is available at Casey's Spencer Bay Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Lucky Pond is right by the Big Spencer Mountain                  Trail; you'll stumble on a charming lake called Tom Young Pond. If you need a spot to stay Lodge at Moosehead Lake is a wonderful choice; taking a little trip to close by Lucky Point is a splendid idea. Summertime highs at Lucky Pond ordinarily tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's with temperatures at Lucky Pond dipping down into the-10's throughout winter nights. This lake is so wonderful.
