There are splendid spots to look at along the Blue Hill Trail, and let's not forget Carters Brook which is a stream that you may encounter during your stay. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Camping at Patten Pond Camping Resort is always a glorious experience, and why not take a look at Long Point also if you're here. Lower Patten Pond gets a common amount of rain; of all the       months in a year November is the one with the most rain while February is ordinarily the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Throughout the months of summer at Lower Patten Pond highs are mostly in the 70's. During the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's; through the dark hours in the winter at Lower Patten Pond temperatures dip to the 0's. Camping is available at Branch Lake Camping Area, and if                  you need a site to stay Comfort Inn Ellsworth is a brilliant choice. This lake is so wonderful. Union River is a fine whitewater spot right next door to Lower Patten Pond; there's glorious hiking along the Peaked Mountain Trail. Beaches are splendid; and Hales Beach close to Lower Patten Pond is no exception; after a long day outdoors Twilite Motel is a brilliant place to spend a night or two.
