Lower Narrows Pond is always a pleasure to visit. Augusta West Lakeside Resort is a glorious local campground. Lower Narrows Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; November is when you get the most rain here while February is regularly the driest month. Throughout the summertime at Lower Narrows Pond highs are frequently in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. campground nearby. Lower Narrows Pond is not far at all from Augusta-Waterville, and Maranacook Lake Upper Dam is pretty.

There needs to be a bunch of water in this stream to even make it doable. on 4/20 we were scooting-ass over many shallow spots in our yaks. Fun drops with laziness inbetween make for a good time especially for the novice.... |
Eaton Mountain
 | 28 miles away 3 PHOTOS Eaton Mountain provides affordable and convenient skiing, snowboarding, and snowtubing to the greater Waterville/Skowhegan area. The mountain boasts a suprising variety of terrain for a compact ski area including glades, challenging steeps, and classic New England style trails. Most of the area is covered with snowmaking and is lit for nightskiiing. Equipment rentals and lessons are available. The base lodge has a snackbar and provides a place to warm up by the wood stove and meet friends. The ski area has new owners as of November 2008 and will not be operating for the 2008-09 ski season. The new owners will be taking the time to make improvements and prepare for a grand reopening in the fall of 2009. Immediate improvements are planned to include an all new snowtubing facility and widening of the Moose slope for a new terrain park. The ski area is located on Lambert Road, just off Route 2 between Skowhegan and Canaan.... |
