An average amount of rainfall falls at Lower Deadwater; July is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. If you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Big Wilson Stream; Lower Deadwater is great enough to spend more than a day at, Casey's       Spencer Bay Campground is a great local campground. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Big Squaw is near Lower Deadwater, and there are great sites to look at along the Auburn Log Hauling Road. You absolutely should like Lower Deadwater. Little Lyford Ponds is a brilliant lake right next door to Lower Deadwater; dry warm beds await you at Lodge at Moosehead Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Lower Deadwater that you need to camp                  here for a while, Wildwood Shores Campground is a brilliant place for that, and going for a hike on the Number Four Mountain Trail is always a delightful adventure. There is a good hiking trail right next door to Lower Deadwater called the Gulf Hagas Trail. For the period of the warm days of summer, highs typically are in the 70's at Lower Deadwater while overnight lows are generally in the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the-10's for Lower Deadwater. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Pittsfield Motor Inn is a great choice; there are other places here than Lower Deadwater, for example Lloyd Pond.
