There's so much to do here at Lower Deadwater that you need to camp here for a while, Birch Point Lodge Campgrounds is a good location for that; St. Croix Stream has a perfect whitewater paddling spot close by. So many cool things to do here at Lower Deadwater, too great to be true. Near Lower Deadwater you come across the Kennedy Tote Road which is a splendid hiking trail; going for a hike on the Pierce       Tote Road is always a pleasant adventure. Lower Deadwater gets a common amount of rain; the wettest month of the year is usually July, that's the one that rains the most, and February on the other hand is the driest. There are good places to look at along the Old Dam Tote Road. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Lower Deadwater has to offer, you can camp at Bear Mountain Lodge. Don't forget to take a tremendous little visit to East Branch                  Howe Brook, and a great view of pretty Howe Brook Mountain is available. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Shiretown Motor Inn is a pleasant location to spend a night or two, and whitewater paddling is splendid on Mattawamkeag River - West Branch. High temperatures at Lower Deadwater through the warm months are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's.
