High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 20's with temperatures at Lower Cranberry Lake dipping down into       the 0's throughout winter nights. On a wonderful day you get a view of Cranberry Mountain from Lower Cranberry Lake; do visit Lower Pond, it's a lovely lake. All the water falling down from the sky makes Lower Cranberry Lake a wet place; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. Machias River - West Branch is a great whitewater spot near Lower Cranberry Lake,                  and a beautiful lake like Upper Cranberry Lake is a great place to take a look at. Some close by water includes Cranberry Stream; on a great day you can take a hike along the Lead Mountain Trail. Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place! Lower Cranberry Lake is excellent!
