There's fine hiking along the Lead Mountain Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Cold Spring Campground is a good site to camp. During the summer, highs frequently                  are in the 70's at Lower Allen Pond, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's, and night lows at Lower Allen Pond during the winter regularly fall into the 0's.
