     Lakes? Sure, Brandy Pond is close by, and Herbert Grand Hotel is a nice place to get some rest. Not far from Lost Pond, you'll locate Bean Pond which is a charming lake, and going for a hike along the Arnolds Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. The amount of precipitation that falls at Lost Pond is close to the national average; through the month of November you get the most snow around here while February is the month with the least amount  
   of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Lost Pond you can distinguish Cates Hill, and unsurprisingly Carrying Place Stream is a scenic stream that is worth visiting.
The slopes of Eaton Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist; in case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Carrying Place Stream. Just can't get enough of Lost Pond. If you need a location to stay Bingham Motor Inn is a tremendous choice,
 
               and Happy Horseshoe Campground is a wonderful local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Sugarloaf USA, and Pierce Pond Stream has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot close by.
During the summertime months highs here at Lost Pond reach the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Lost Pond. Henhawk Ledge is an interesting thing to catch a glimpse of since you're here at Lost Pond; Northern Outdoors is a nice campground nearby.

Breezy Acres Camps and Guide Service is located in both Solon and Eustis Maine. He have housekeeping cabins which are set up with full size stoves, refrigerators,microwave, coffee pot, toaster, pots, pans, dishes, etc. The beds are made with linens and there are plenty of towels for the shower in the bathroom. Each cabin has its own picnic table, charcoal grill and outside fire pit. We can sleep up to 38 people.

You can access snowmobile and ATV trails right from the cabin for many miles of riding. Canoeing and kayaking on various lakes, ponds, streams and rivers are a great way to relax. Hunting, fishing, golf and white water rafting are some of the other activities that we offer.

We offer reasonable rates and great hospitality.

Eaton Mountain provides affordable and convenient skiing, snowboarding, and snowtubing to the greater Waterville/Skowhegan area. The mountain boasts a suprising variety of terrain for a compact ski area including glades, challenging steeps, and classic New England style trails. Most of the area is covered with snowmaking and is lit for nightskiiing. Equipment rentals and lessons are available. The base lodge has a snackbar and provides a place to warm up by the wood stove and meet friends.
The ski area has new owners as of November 2008 and will not be operating for the 2008-09 ski season. The new owners will be taking the time to make improvements and prepare for a grand reopening in the fall of 2009. Immediate improvements are planned to include an all new snowtubing facility and widening of the Moose slope for a new terrain park.
The ski area is located on Lambert Road, just off Route 2 between Skowhegan and Canaan....
