    If you are in this part of Maine make sure to pay a visit to Lost Pond. At Lost Pond through the warm days of summer highs are in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Lost Pond. There are some great whitewater  
   spots on Pierce Pond Stream; Sugarloaf USA is a tremendous local ski area.
From Lost Pond you acquire a glorious panorama of Cates Hill, obviously you could also have a look at Bean Pond if you're here; it's not far at all. If you want a glorious time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Lost Pond. If you come at the right time of year, Carrying Place Stream offers some good whitewater; most likely you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Brandy Pond
 
               is just a very short distance away. A normal amount of rain falls here at Lost Pond; through November this area sees the most snow, and February is the month with the least moisture.
This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Bingham Motor Inn is a delightful choice. Henhawk Ledge is an out of the ordinary location to stop by while at Lost Pond, and hiking along the Arnolds Trail is great fun. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Eaton Mountain, and camping at Northern Outdoors is always a glorious experience.

Breezy Acres Camps and Guide Service is located in both Solon and Eustis Maine. He have housekeeping cabins which are set up with full size stoves, refrigerators,microwave, coffee pot, toaster, pots, pans, dishes, etc. The beds are made with linens and there are plenty of towels for the shower in the bathroom. Each cabin has its own picnic table, charcoal grill and outside fire pit. We can sleep up to 38 people.

You can access snowmobile and ATV trails right from the cabin for many miles of riding. Canoeing and kayaking on various lakes, ponds, streams and rivers are a great way to relax. Hunting, fishing, golf and white water rafting are some of the other activities that we offer.

We offer reasonable rates and great hospitality.

Eaton Mountain provides affordable and convenient skiing, snowboarding, and snowtubing to the greater Waterville/Skowhegan area. The mountain boasts a suprising variety of terrain for a compact ski area including glades, challenging steeps, and classic New England style trails. Most of the area is covered with snowmaking and is lit for nightskiiing. Equipment rentals and lessons are available. The base lodge has a snackbar and provides a place to warm up by the wood stove and meet friends.
The ski area has new owners as of November 2008 and will not be operating for the 2008-09 ski season. The new owners will be taking the time to make improvements and prepare for a grand reopening in the fall of 2009. Immediate improvements are planned to include an all new snowtubing facility and widening of the Moose slope for a new terrain park.
The ski area is located on Lambert Road, just off Route 2 between Skowhegan and Canaan....
