If you are in Piscataquis county it's always a good idea to stop by Lost Pond. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Big Squaw, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Eagle Lake Tote Road. The Old Pogy Road is a brilliant hiking trail near Lost Pond, and you can run the rapids of Webster Brook. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Lost Pond. A magnificent site for whitewater paddling next to Lost Pond is Nesowadnehunk Stream River, and do explore Hudson Brook since you're here at Lost Pond. A wonderful lake like Blunder Pond close to Lost Pond is a fine spot to take a look at, and a good place to camp here at Lost Pond is South Branch Pond Campground. | |

This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Kennedy Bog is scenic and can be spotted from Lost Pond, and Hudson Pond is a tremendous lake nearby. This place rules, just check out all the enjoyable stuff to do right next
door to Lost Pond. Camping is available at Chimney Pond Campground, and going for a hike along the Freezeout Road will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. An average amount of rainfall falls at Lost Pond; July is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month is February.
