    Lost Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Throughout the warmest time of the year here at Lost Pond, high temperatures frequently reach the 70's while nighttime lows are mostly in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Lost Pond are in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. A common amount of rainfall falls here at Lost Pond; most of the rain falls during July, and the driest of the months is February.
 
   You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff at Lost Pond. Lost Pond is a splendid place to visit for more than one day, Homestead Lodge is a splendid place to camp nearby, and magnificent hiking is available along the Millinocket Lake Tote Road. Umcolcus Sporting Camps is a wonderful local campground, and you can go for a hike on the Matagamon Tote Road. You can run the rapids of Seboeis River near Lost Pond, and if you're looking for some  
               flowing water? Try Batch Brook.
This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Shin Brook River; the peak of Jameson Ridge can be made out from Lost Pond. Dry warm beds await you at Katahdin Inn, and going for a hike on the Snowshoe Lake Road is always a perfect adventure. Swamps like Lower Deadwater are fun to go to, and Pickerel Point is not far at all.
