A visit to Lost Pond is always a good idea. High temperatures at Lost Pond through the days of summer are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and night lows at Lost Pond all through the wintertime usually plunge into the-10's. Lost Pond is a wet spot that gets a great deal of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is generally August, that's the one that rains the most, and February

Lost Pond is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Cathedral Pines Camping Area is a tremendous local campground, and there are swamps here too, Lower Hathan Bog is around here. This lake is so wonderful. Near Lost Pond you come across the Morrell Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail, and some close by water includes Halfmile Brook. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Saddleback if you're here, and | |

Lost Pond is not the only location close by, Natanis Pond is a close by lake. Get dripping wet paddling on Dead River - North Branch, and a lake nearby is Round Pond. There is a wonderful hiking trail near Lost Pond called the
Arnold Trail, and camping at Cupsuptic Campground is always a great experience. Be careful coming to Lost Pond, you might not ever want to return back home again. The Arnold Pond Trail is a splendid hiking trail close to Lost Pond, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Moose River - South Branch. This lake is so wonderful.
