If you came for an overnight stay Mattawamkeag Wilderness Park is a magnificent location to camp, and you'll stumble       on a stunning lake called Molunkus Lake. If you go for the outdoors, you'll love Lost Pond. Gulliver Brook is close to Lost Pond and is always a bliss to explore; Birch Point Lodge Campgrounds is a magnificent campground nearby. Katahdin Inn is a fine location to get some rest; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Macwahoc Stream. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not stop at Haywire Pond                  close to Lost Pond, and get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Mattawamkeag River.
