If you are traveling by, why not stop by Lost Pond. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Machias River, and the Island Pond Trail offers hiking at its best. Take a hike on the Fox Brook Trail, and Lost Pond is a nice location to camp, Birch Haven Campground is a nice location. This lake is so wonderful. Lost Pond is right by the Round Trail, and a lake nearby is Bishop Pond. Summertime at Lost Pond comes with high temperatures

| | in the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 10's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Lost Pond. If you need a place to stay Eagle Lake Inn is a wonderful choice, and camping at Lost Pond is magnificent fun, Clover Hill Campground is a magnificent local campground. year, Fish River offers some nice whitewater, and a nice close by hotel is Overlook Motel. An average amount of rainfall falls at Lost Pond; August is the wettest month with most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
