This lake is so wonderful. Some of the water close by flows, like East Inlet, and if you get bored of Loon Pond you could also stop by nearby Holeb Pond. Throughout the warmest time of the year here at Loon Pond, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 70's, and the nighttime       is somewhat chillier of course, frequently in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows in the-10's for Loon Pond. There are some great whitewater spots on Parlin Pond Stream; Jackman Landing Campground is a magnificent local campground. The annual rain here at Loon Pond is about average; July is when you get the most rain here while February is regularly the driest month. Very picturesque scenery and great skiing is what you get                  at Sugarloaf USA, and there are wonderful sites to discover along the Sally Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The peak of Burnt Jacket Mountain can be made out from Loon Pond, and there's great hiking along the Alder Brook Trail. Man, is there plenty of exciting stuff to do close to Loon Pond.
