Loon Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. Loon Pond is in the vicinity of Mill Pond Dam which is a pretty site without doubt worth checking out. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Loon Pond has to offer, you can camp at Augusta West Lakeside Resort. Loon Pond is a wet location

golf at Meadows Golf Course is always a diversion. Summertime at Loon Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and the nighttime is somewhat colder of course, commonly in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's
while the cold winter nights at Loon Pond are in the 10's. Stay the night at The Birches Campground, and paddling on Cobbosseecontee Stream is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. From Loon Pond you get a tremendous vista of
Springer Hill. Lakes? Sure, Sand Pond is close by. Dry warm beds await you at Maple Hill Farm B & B Inn; there are plenty of folks from Augusta-Waterville here at Loon Pond.

 | Fun short spot, We made it a overnight trip and had a good old time. There needs to be a bunch of water in this stream to even make it doable. on 4/20 we were scooting-ass over many shallow spots in our yaks. Fun drops with laziness inbetween make for a good time especially for the novice.... |
