Loon Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Hiking along the Eagle Lake Trail is glorious fun. There's so much to do here at Loon Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Maple Grove Campground is a nice location for that. Going for a hike along the Lead Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Loon Pond has to offer, you can camp at Cold Spring Campground.

| | In case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Nicatous Stream, and dry warm beds await you at White Birches Country Club. And that's not all you can do here at Loon Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Take a side journey to Little Guagus Stream, and whitewater paddling is tremendous on Passadumkeag River.
