All through the summer months at Longley Pond temperatures are ordinarily in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's; during the dark hours in the winter at Longley Pond temperatures drop to the-10's. Going for a hike on the Big Spencer Mountain Trail is always a fine adventure; Ellis Brook has a great whitewater       paddling spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. Big Squaw is a very popular ski area nearby, and Black Pond is a good lake close by. Longley Pond gets a normal amount of yearly rainfall; during July this area sees the most rain while February is mostly the driest month. Near Longley Pond you discover the Telephone Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail; why not take a little tour to Longley Brook while you're here. Paddling on Caucomgomoc Stream                  is so much fun, and lakes are such peaceful sites, why not check out Little Longley Pond. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site.
