Just can't get enough of Long Pond. On a pretty day you obtain a vista of Bickford Hill from Long Pond, and Shawnee Peak is a very popular ski area in close proximity. The high level of precipitation makes Long Pond a quite wet site; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is September. Head up to King Pine       and strap some skis to your feet. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at River Run Canoe Rental and Camping while you're here at Long Pond, naturally you could also pop by Spruce Pond while you're here; it's not far at all. A delightful place to camp here at Long Pond is Windsong Campgrounds, and if you've had enough of Long Pond, West Pond is close by. High temperatures at Long Pond through the summer months are in the 80's. All through the moonlight                  hours it's typically in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with temperatures at Long Pond dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights.
