Lakes are great; Short Pond is a lake that's close to Long Pond, and you can always enjoy a lazy day on the beach at Camp Ellis Reach. All through the summer months at Long Pond highs are regularly in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while Long Pond overnight low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 0's.       But wait, there's more to do in close proximity to Long Pond. Dry warm beds await you at Knights Inn Old Orchard Beach; don't forget to pop by Back Bay if you're here. Long Pond ordinarily gets a large amount of rain; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily November, that's the one that rains the most while August is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Virginia Tent Trailer Park; let's not forget Branch Brook which is a stream that you may encounter while here. If you need a place to stay Best Value Inn Mt.
