This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at South Branch Pond Campground. Have a magnificent hiking adventure along the Howe, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Turner Deadwater. Long Pond gets a typical amount of yearly precipitation; the month with most of the       rain is July while February is frequently the driest month. You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up. While you're here at Long Pond you can take a hike along the Old Pogy Road, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Nesowadnehunk Stream River. You need to go to Snub Pitch while you're here at Long Pond; if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Wassataquoik Tote Road. The warmest time of the                  year at Long Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's, and the night is a bit chillier of course, commonly in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's; nighttime lows in the-10's for Long Pond. This lake is so wonderful.
