     Ash Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth visiting, and paddling on Magalloway River is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is pleasant on Rapid River, and there are brilliant spots to discover along the Old Speck Mountain Trail. High temperatures at Long Pond through the long summer days are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and during the dark hours  
   in the winter at Long Pond temperatures dip to the-10's.
Long Pond is a wet place that gets a great deal of rain; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. Having a splendid time at Long Pond is simple. Near Long Pond you discover the Old Magalloway Trail which is a great hiking trail, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Sunday River is relatively near. But wait, there's more fun stuff to
 
               do in the White Mountains. Fox Pond is a nearby lake that you could check out, and camping is available at Cupsuptic Campground.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the White Mountains. Going for a hike on the Table Rock Trail is always a glorious adventure. This lake is located in the wonderful White Mountains. Do have a look at Skunk Pond close to Long Pond, it's a charming lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Mollidgewock Campground is a fine spot to camp.
