Through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and night lows during the wintertime for Long Pond tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Glide down the rapids of Sheepscot River - West Branch in a kayak, and close to Long Pond you hit upon a golf course called       Sheepscot Links Golf Course. Any time is a splendid time at Long Pond if you have a thing about the outdoors. Black Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth stopping at, and if you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Waterville,Me is a brilliant choice. The annual precipitation here at Long Pond is about average; most of the rain falls through November, and February is when it's the driest. Duck Puddle Campground is a delightful local campground,                  and paddling on Sheepscot River is so much fun. Why not camp at Town Line Campsites while you're here at Long Pond, and here at Long Pond you can make out Brooks Turner Hill. This lake is so wonderful. The Hockomock Nature Trail is a delightful hiking trail in close proximity to Long Pond, and a good close by hotel is Budget Host Airport Inn Waterville. There are plenty of people from Augusta-Waterville here at Long Pond, and Three Corner Pond is a splendid lake close by.
