French Pond is a great lake in the neighborhood of Long Pond, and you can stay the night at Town Line Campsites. Crummett Brook flows through this area, and you can run the rapids of Sheepscot River. Best Western Waterville Inn is a great spot       to get some rest. The yearly rain here at Long Pond is about average; the wettest month of the year is commonly November, that's the one that rains the most, and February on the other hand is the driest. Summertime highs at Long Pond typically tend to be in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 60's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Long Pond are in the 10's. This                  lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Sheepscot River - West Branch for all you adrenaline kick people, and there are other locations here than Long Pond, for example Dodge Pond.
