While you're here at Long Pond you can take a hike along the Ebens Head Trail, and Narrow Place Beach is relatively close by if you're in a beach type of mood. The snow is wonderful at Camden, and Greenlaws RV and Tenting Park is a fine local campground. Summertime brings highs in       the 70's to Long Pond. Summer night lows fall down to the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's while Long Pond overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. Long Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; November is the month that gets the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. If you want to hit the beach, Clayfers Beach is close at hand, and the top of Basin High                  Mountain is easily observed from Long Pond. Going for a hike along the Trail Point Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Round Pond, and Long Pond is a perfect place to visit for more than one day, Massachusetts Homestead Camp is a perfect place to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. A quick trip to Gully Brook near Long Pond is a great idea; if you come at the right time of year, Goose Falls offers some good whitewater. On a great day at Long Pond you can take a hike along the Spring Brook Trail, and Whitehall Inn is a delightful place to get some rest.
