A good place in the vicinity of Long Pond is Cape Ann Ledge, and Long Pond is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Duck Harbor Campground is a delightful local campground. Yep, outdoors cool stuff to do are in fact abundant here at Long Pond. Go for       a hike on the Thunder Gulch Trail. From a precipitation point of view Long Pond is a reasonably common spot; throughout November this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. So many entertaining things close to Long Pond, absolutely impressive. On a good day it's a great idea to spend the day at Boom Beach, and going for a hike on the National Merchant Trail is always a glorious adventure. This lake is so wonderful. If you                  don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Blue Hill Falls, and since you're here, you could pop by Bull Brook. For the duration of the summertime highs here at Long Pond get into the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 20's while Long Pond night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 0's. Burntland Pond is a nearby lake that you could go to, and camping at Greenlaws RV and Tenting Park is always a great experience. This lake is so wonderful. There are swamps here too; Great Meadow is in the neighborhood, and if the weather is beautiful, you acquire a great panorama of Black Dina from Long Pond. While you're here at Long Pond, you could also explore lovely Ames Pond, and a good nearby hotel is Eggemoggin Oceanfront Lodge.
