There's so much to do here at Long Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Great Pond Campground is a great location for that. The high level of rainfall makes Long Pond a quite wet site; through November this area sees the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. Now, you may assume that's lots but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Long Pond. If       you get bored of Long Pond, you could also take a look at nearby Inghan Pond. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Long Pond has to offer, you can camp at Camp Laurel. Whitewater paddling is good on Cobbosseecontee Stream; dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Inn & Suites. Lots of folks from Augusta-Waterville come to Long Pond; a lake close by is Brainard Pond. For the period of the long summer days, highs usually are in the 70's at Long Pond,                  and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Long Pond fall into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Visit Bog Stream if you're here at Long Pond; why not take a refreshing hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail.
