     You'll stumble on a stunning lake called Mill Pond near Long Pond, and don't miss out on a nice swamp; Catskin Heath is right here at Long Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Mainayr Campground if you're here at Long Pond; after a long day outdoors Bar Harbor Inn is a pleasant site to spend a night or two. You can run the rapids of Narraguagus River - West Branch near Long Pond, and a picturesque lake like Round Pond is a delightful place to stop  
   by. During the summer highs here at Long Pond reach the 70's while night lows are usually in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are usually in the 30's, and overnight lows all through the wintertime for Long Pond tend to be in the 10's.
If you want a delightful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Long Pond. Dry warm beds await you at The Harborside Hotel and Marina; Catskin Mountain is clearly visible from Long Pond. Acadia National
 
               Park is a glorious place near Long Pond, and get your pulse rate up on the pleasant whitewater of Narraguagus River. Long Pond gets a good deal of water; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain; August meanwhile is the driest month.
This lake is so wonderful. Flanders Bay is a great local campground, and there are great places to explore along the The Anvil Trail. Don't leave Long Pond without first going for a hike along the Schoodic Head Trail; some of the water nearby flows, like Downing Bog Stream. Go for a hike on the Alder Path Trail.
