Long Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. A journey to Echo Lake Beach near Long Pond is always a great idea, and some of the water nearby flows, like Duck Pond Brook. Long Pond is good enough to spend more than a day at, Smuggler's Den Campground is a good local campground, and there's great hiking along the Outer Beech Mountain Trail. A trip to Carter Cove near Long Pond is always a nice idea; since you're here, you might as well stop at Great Notch. The warmest time of the year at Long Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's, and the nighttime is rather cooler of course, regularly in the 50's. throughout winter nights. Soar down the rapids of Union River in a kayak, and you must absolutely stop at stunning Cobble Beach while you're here.
Long Pond typically gets much precipitation; November is the month that gets the
most rain, and August on the other hand is the driest. The summit of Beech Mountain can be seen from Long Pond. The Harbour Cottage Inn is a magnificent location to get some rest, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Blue Hill Falls.
What a site this is for outdoors people. If time allows, Acadia National Park is a national park worth visiting, and Long Pond Dam is a spot that is in the vicinity of Long Pond. This lake is so wonderful. A short spree to Lurvey
Spring is always worthwhile, and good hiking is available along the Mansell Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Great Long Pond Trail; if you came to camp White Birches Campground is a great site to do that.
