Why not camp at Mountain View Campground if you're here at Long Pond, and do visit Long Pond Dam while you're here. After a long day outdoors The Harborside Hotel and Marina is a glorious site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. A swamp like Schoodic Bog right next door to Long Pond has lots of attention-grabbing things to see, and there are pleasant places to discover along the Bar Island Trail. A nice vista of stunning Baker Hill is available

Basin Pond is a nearby lake that you could check out, and Schoodic Beach is a beach close by that you can go to. Summertime at Long Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's, and the overnight is a tad cooler of course, regularly in the 50's. Long Pond. Long Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; November is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is August. This place, Long Pond, it completely has so much outdoors cool stuff. Taking a
little journey to nearby Long Cove is a good idea, and get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Narraguagus River - West Branch. Bar Harbor Inn is a brilliant site to get some rest, and a good spot for whitewater paddling
is Union River - East Branch. A lake close by is Little Pond; don't leave Long Pond without first going for a hike along the Jessup Trail. If you came for an overnight stay Mountainview Campground is a fine place to camp; of course,
all our national parks are fine places to check out and Acadia National Park is no exception. This lake is so wonderful. There's good hiking along the Kebo Mountain Trail, and a brilliant beach close by is Black Beach.
