So much exciting stuff to do here at Long Pond, too glorious to be true. While you're here at Long Pond, you could also stop at stunning Bag Pond, and camping at Cathedral Pines Camping Area is always a delightful experience. For the duration of the months of summer, highs usually are in the 70's       at Long Pond, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's; after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Long Pond fall into the-10's. Long Pond gets a normal amount of yearly precipitation; through the month of July you get the most rain around here while February is mostly the driest month. There's whitewater on Cupsuptic River for all you adrenaline people, and on a glorious                  day you can take a hike along the Morrell Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Saddleback has nice slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. Do have a look at Chain of Ponds in close proximity to Long Pond, it's a beautiful lake; going for a hike on the Arnold Trail is always a good adventure. There are some delightful whitewater spots on Dead River - North Branch; a great site close by is Delaware Gap.
