Stay the night at Cathedral Pines Camping Area, and there are fine sites to explore along the Arnold Pond Trail. Skiing at Saddleback is one of those things you just must do; there's some flowing water close by, Clearwater Brook is a stream you can go to while you're here. Any time is a pleasant time at Long Pond if you go for the outdoors. The summit of Bag Pond Mountain can be seen from Long Pond; close by you hit upon pleasant       sites like Delaware Gap. There's so much to do here at Long Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Black Arrow Lodge is a great place for that, and you can go for a hike on the Arnold Trail. An average amount of rainfall falls at Long Pond; most of the rain falls all through July while February is commonly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. A great place for whitewater paddling near Long Pond is Dead River - North Branch, and since you might                  be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Bag Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Morrell Trail is always a nice adventure. Summer at Long Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime highs are usually in the 20's, and overnight lows in the-10's for Long Pond.
