     The White Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Why not go to Haley Pond Dam if you're here, and paddling on Dead River - South Branch is so much fun. Stay the night at Coos Canyon Cabins and Campground.
This lake is so wonderful. Have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Brook Trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Haley Pond. Hiking along the Chimney Trail is tremendous fun; if you need a place to stay The Perennial
 
   Inn is a brilliant choice. Long Pond gets a normal amount of rainfall; most of the rain falls throughout August, and the driest of the months is February.
High temperatures at Long Pond through the long summer days are in the 70's while overnight lows are mostly in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's, and nighttime lows through the wintertime for Long Pond tend to be in the-10's. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors amusing
 
               stuff the White Mountains has to offer. Take a hike on the Piazza Rock Trail; float down the rapids of Sandy River in a kayak. Having a great time in the White Mountains is easy. If you're here at Long Pond, you could go to Cascade Stream, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Saddleback since you're here.
This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the pleasant skiing at Black Mountain, and Black Brook Cove Campground is a wonderful campground nearby. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. Lakes? Sure, Little Swift River Pond is close by, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Evergreen Golf Club & Golf School is in the vicinity.

Today I finished a kayak trip from Strong, Maine and took out at Osoola Park in Norridgewock. It took a day and three quarters. The bridge in New Sharon is by far  the largest waves just under the bridge. Tired arms went through that at the near end of day. The water after that is fast for about an hour after that. Need to pay attention....

I used to climb up as a kid, and I still love it. It is a fairly easy hike, but worth it at the end. There is one small brook crossing, but other then that, it is a great place to take kids young and old....
