Throughout the long summer days highs here at Long Pond get into the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Long Pond temperatures fall to the-10's. A common amount of rain falls here at Long Pond; the wettest month of the year is usually August, that's the one that rains the most, and February is when it's the driest. Whohoo, so many amusing

| | things in one place! The White Mountains is peerless! Long Pond is right by the Angel Falls Trail, and Coos Canyon Cabins and Campground is a pleasant local campground. This lake is so wonderful. You get a great vista of Four Ponds Mountain from Long Pond, and there's nice hiking along the Bemis Trail. Lakes are wonderful; Maxie Pond is a lake that's next to Long Pond; in the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater | |

paddling on Black Brook. That right there is plenty already, but it keeps on going; Long Pond has it all. Dry warm beds await you at Grand Summit Resort Sunday River, and whitewater paddling is good on Dead River - South Branch.
Long Pond is a beautiful lake in the White Mountains. The Perennial Inn is a great place to get some rest, and obviously, this is a fine neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Round Pond is a lake in close proximity. Now, you
may think that's lots but there's even more fun stuff to do here in the White Mountains. If you came for an overnight stay Black Brook Cove Campground is a glorious site to camp; hey, Gotta ski right? Saddleback is a fine site to
do that. This lake is so wonderful. The Bemis Stream Trail offers hiking at its best; what would winter be without some skiing at Black Mountain.

The bridge in New Sharon is by far the largest waves just under the bridge. Tired arms went through that at the near end of day. The water after that is fast for about an hour after that.
