| | Trail is a splendid local trail. A good place for whitewater paddling next to Long Pond is Fish River; the Round Trail offers hiking at its best. The annual precipitation here at Long Pond is about average; most of the rain falls through August, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful.
