Bog Lake is a lake in the vicinity, and if you came to camp Knowlton's Seashore Campground is a magnificent spot to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Hobart Stream. There's so much to do here at Long Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Cobscook Bay State Park is a wonderful location for that. Lots of precipitation falls at Long Lake; most of       the rain falls all through November, and July is when it's the driest. At Long Lake through the summertime highs are in the 80's while night lows are mostly in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's; night lows through the winter for Long Lake tend to be in the 0's. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Cathance Stream; swamps don’t sound that splendid but                  MacElroy Heath near Long Lake is quite splendid. If time allows, Roosevelt Campobello International Park is a national park worth a visit; possibly you're looking for nearby lakes?
