     Man, is there a lot of amusing things to do next to Lombard Pond. Skiing at Sunday River is one of those things you just have to do; swamps are exciting sites and Waterfowl Marsh in close proximity to Lombard Pond is no exception. If you need a place to stay The Victoria Inn is a splendid choice; Albany Mountain is clearly visible from Lombard Pond. Just can't get enough of the White Mountains. You can never get enough of the fine skiing at Mount Abram, and  
   dry warm beds await you at The Bethel Inn Resort.
Crooked River has a good whitewater paddling spot close by, and magnificent hiking is available along the Albany Notch Trail. And that's not all you can do here in the White Mountains. Going for a hike on the Albany Mountain Trail is always a perfect adventure, and if you're here why not visit Albany Notch. Lombard Pond is one of the lakes here in the White Mountains.

               Pond close to Lombard Pond, it's a beautiful lake, and Keewaydin Lake Dam is a beautiful place. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. If you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Crooked River, and Lombard Pond is good enough to spend more than a day at, Pleasant River Campground is a good local campground. High temperatures at Lombard Pond all through the summer months are in the 70's. During the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 20's, and overnight lows throughout the wintertime for Lombard Pond tend to be in the 0's.
Lombard Pond gets a typical amount of rain; most of the rain falls throughout August, and the driest month is January. And if that's not sufficient there's loads more enjoyable stuff to do in the White Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Getting to Bartlett Brook from Lombard Pond is easy; you can go for a hike on the Albany Brook Trail.
You'll hit upon a lovely lake called Number Eight Pond near Lombard Pond. There's so much to do here at Lombard Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Crocker Pond Campground is a nice place for that.
