If you are in this part of Maine make sure to pay a visit to Locke Pond. High temperatures at Locke Pond during the days of summer are in the 70's. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Locke Pond throughout the winter regularly dip into the 0's. There's some flowing water nearby, Huckleberry Stream is a stream you can stop at during your stay, and a fine close by hotel is Colonial Valley Motel. After a long day outdoors Twin Pond Motel & Campground
is a nice place to spend a night or two, and playing golf is lots of fun at Wilson Lake Country Club. This lake is so wonderful. The top of Zion Hill is easily seen from Locke Pond. If you want a fine time in the great outdoors, just
come on down to Locke Pond. Camping is available at Twin Pond Campground; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Sandy River.
