Stay the night at Nor-40 Campground, and a quick journey to Huckleberry Stream is undeniably a great idea. A large amount of precipitation falls at Locke Pond; the month with most of the rain is November while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Comfort Inn & Suites is a wonderful choice;       there are plenty of folks from Lewiston-Auburn here at Locke Pond. And if that's not sufficient, there's a lot more to do in the neighborhood of Locke Pond. Golf can be played at Wilson Lake Country Club, and the skiing at Titcomb is good. A lake close by is Robinson Pond, and a glorious location for whitewater paddling is Wilson Stream. Sand Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop by, and the top of Zion Hill is easily seen from Locke Pond. Summer brings                  highs in the 70's to Locke Pond while night lows are mostly in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's while the cold winter nights at Locke Pond are in the 0's. A perfect nearby hotel is Wilson Lake Inn, and Sandy River is a good whitewater spot close by.
