Do stop by Locke Pond while you're in this part of Maine. The summit of Zion Hill can be distinguished from Locke Pond, and if you come at the right time of year, Sandy River offers some good whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Comfort Inn & Suites is a splendid place to get some rest; if you're here you can take a hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail.

After a long day outdoors Wilson Lake Inn is a magnificent spot to spend a night or two, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Wilson Lake Country Club is close by. Getting to Huckleberry Stream from Locke Pond is painless; get yourself into a kayak and hit Wilson Stream.

at Twin Pond Campground; you'll meet a lot of people from Lewiston-Auburn here. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Nor-40 Campground is a great site to camp; everybody nearby loves skiing at Titcomb.
