A typical amount of rainfall falls here at Little Soldier Pond; November is the month that gets the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site. There's so much to do here at Little Soldier Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Allagash Gateway Campsite is a good site for that, and       a splendid spot for whitewater paddling is Wassataquoik Stream. After a long day outdoors Katahdin Inn is a tremendous location to spend a night or two, and going for a hike along the Sand Bank Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Have a nice hiking adventure along the Telos Tote Road, and you can run the rapids of Penobscot River - East Branch. Take a hike on the Sandbank Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Hidden                  Springs Campground, and swamps like Turner Logan are fun to take a look at. Little Soldier Pond is not far at all from Bangor, and do take a look at Trout Brook while you're here at Little Soldier Pond. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Little Soldier Pond, and the nighttime is a tad chillier of course, mostly in the 50's.
