Sure, Soldier Pond is next to Little Soldier Pond, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Wassataquoik Stream. This is a great region for people who like lakes. Mud Pond is a lake in close proximity; if the weather is splendid, you can go for a hike along the Sand Bank Trail. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here       at Little Soldier Pond you can take a hike along the Telos Tote Road, and if you need a place to stay Katahdin Inn is a great choice. Little Soldier Pond is a great place to visit for more than one day, Allagash Gateway Campsite is a great place to camp nearby, and there are some delightful whitewater spots on Penobscot River - East Branch. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Little Soldier Pond there are plenty of people from Bangor. Summertime highs at Little                  Soldier Pond frequently tend to be in the 70's while night lows are mostly in the 50's.
