There's splendid hiking along the Outer Beech Mountain Trail; if you want to hit the beach, Echo Lake Beach is around here. Through the summer highs here at Little Round Pond reach the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Little Round Pond. The Ledge       is near Little Round Pond and is certainly a great spot to stop by, and good water scenery is available at Long Pond Dam near Little Round Pond. Just can't get enough of Little Round Pond. Camping is available at Mount Desert Campground; you can catch a sight of Oak Hill from Little Round Pond. Little Round Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; through the month of November you get the most rain around here while August is the month with the least                  amount of precipitation. Don't leave Little Round Pond without first going for a hike along the Eagle Lake Trail, and Open Hearth Inn is a nice spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Do pay a visit to Acadia National Park if you're here at Little Round Pond, and of course Duck Pond Brook flows through this vicinity. Get dripping wet paddling on Union River, and while you're here, do take a journey to Clark Cove. So many cool things to do at Little Round Pond, so little time. Good hiking is available along the Great Long Pond Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Branch Lake Stream. Interesting geology is available here; Duck Rock is next to Little Round Pond, and a great close by hotel is Isleview Motel and Cottages. This lake is so wonderful.
