Tacoma Lakes Dam is an exciting thing to check out; there is a brilliant hiking trail close by called the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. And that's not all you can do here at Little Purgatory Pond. While you're here at Little Purgatory Pond you can play some golf at Meadows Golf Course, and swamps don’t sound that great but Dismal Swamp in the vicinity of Little Purgatory Pond is pretty great. The warmest time of the year at Little Purgatory Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's, and the nighttime is slightly cooler of course, generally in the 50's. precipitation; during the month of November you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is February. There's so much to do here at Little Purgatory Pond that you need to camp here for a while, The Birches
Campground is a splendid place for that; a glorious close by hotel is Winthrop Motel. Maple Hill Farm B & B Inn is a pleasant site to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Getting to Jock Stream from Little Purgatory Pond is uncomplicated; if you're dropping by from Augusta-Waterville, you won't be the only one.
