Go for a hike on the Big Squaw Mountain Trail; Little Woodman Bog is an exciting swamp near Little Pond. A quick visit to Bear Brook near Little Pond is a perfect idea, and Eaton Mountain is a glorious local ski area. If you came for an overnight stay Balsam woods Campground is a splendid place to camp; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Piscataquis River. There are great sites to discover along the Intake Trail, and Two Rivers Campground is a great local campground. All the water falling down from the sky makes Little Pond a wet place; through the month of July you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is February.

from Little Pond, and dry warm beds await you at Bingham Motor Inn. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Foss Pond; if you come at the right time of year, Kingsbury Stream
offers some nice whitewater. For the period of the summer months at Little Pond highs are commonly in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are ordinarily in the 20's with temperatures at Little Pond dipping down into the-10's through winter nights.

Breezy Acres Camps and Guide Service is located in both Solon and Eustis Maine. He have housekeeping cabins which are set up with full size stoves, refrigerators,microwave, coffee pot, toaster, pots, pans, dishes, etc. The beds are made with linens and there are plenty of towels for the shower in the bathroom. Each cabin has its own picnic table, charcoal grill and outside fire pit. We can sleep up to 38 people.
You can access snowmobile and ATV trails right from the cabin for many miles of riding. Canoeing and kayaking on various lakes, ponds, streams and rivers are a great way to relax. Hunting, fishing, golf and white water rafting are some of the other activities that we offer.
We offer reasonable rates and great hospitality.

Eaton Mountain provides affordable and convenient skiing, snowboarding, and snowtubing to the greater Waterville/Skowhegan area. The mountain boasts a suprising variety of terrain for a compact ski area including glades, challenging steeps, and classic New England style trails. Most of the area is covered with snowmaking and is lit for nightskiiing. Equipment rentals and lessons are available. The base lodge has a snackbar and provides a place to warm up by the wood stove and meet friends.
The ski area has new owners as of November 2008 and will not be operating for the 2008-09 ski season. The new owners will be taking the time to make improvements and prepare for a grand reopening in the fall of 2009. Immediate improvements are planned to include an all new snowtubing facility and widening of the Moose slope for a new terrain park.
