Go for a hike on the Bald Mountain Trail. There's so much to do here at Little Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Balsam Cove Campground       is a wonderful location for that. In case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Narramissic River. The yearly rain here at Little Pond is about average; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain; February meanwhile is the driest month. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at New Hermon Mountain if you're here, and if you came to camp Whispering Pines Campground is a wonderful                  place to do that. Gulch Brook is a pleasant local stream, and great hiking is available along the Blue Hill Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Fort Knox Inn; whitewater paddling is good on Penobscot River. All through the summer months highs here at Little Pond reach the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's.
