All the water falling down from the sky makes Little Ossipee Pond a wet spot; November is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is August. Little Ossipee Pond in fact is in the middle of a delightful outdoors paradise. Fort Hill can be distinguished from Little Ossipee Pond, and there are plenty of folks from Portland-South Portland here. You just can't picture the amount       of outdoors entertaining stuff the area next to Little Ossipee Pond has to offer. This lake is so wonderful. A good site in the neighborhood of Little Ossipee Pond is Catfish Rock; get yourself into a kayak and hit Royal River. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Little Ossipee Pond has to offer, you can camp at A Vacationland Campground, and if you need a site to stay Eastland Park Hotel is a pleasant choice. Willard                  Beach is a beach near Little Ossipee Pond that you can stop at, and nothing beats kicking back at Cliff House Beach. A great nearby hotel is Portland Regency Hotel; if you come at the right time of year, Chandler Brook offers some wonderful whitewater. Near Little Ossipee Pond you stumble on a golf course called Pleasant Hill Golf Course, and Boat Cove is not far at all. Throughout the days of summer here at Little Ossipee Pond, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 70's while night lows are frequently in the 50's. Highs through the winter are generally in the 30's while Little Ossipee Pond overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's. Skiing at Lost Valley is one of those things you just should do, and you don’t have to go far from Little Ossipee Pond to observe the water at Little Ossipee Pond Dam.
