    Beautiful Little Ossipee Pond has much to offer visitors. If you came for an overnight stay A Vacationland Campground is a wonderful location to camp, and do stop by Alewife Brook while you're here at Little Ossipee Pond. Nothing beats kicking back at Willard Beach, and a splendid close by hotel is Eastland Park Hotel.
Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Little Ossipee Pond. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. Highs through the
 
   winter are typically in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Little Ossipee Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the beach if you want, Cliff House Beach is practically right here, and an attention-grabbing thing to check out right next door to Little Ossipee Pond is Little Ossipee Pond Dam. That right there is a lot already, but it carries on; Little Ossipee Pond has it all. There are some perfect whitewater spots on Royal River, and the  
               nice people of Portland-South Portland like to hang out close by.
Little Ossipee Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is August. You might want to pay a visit to Catfish Rock if you're here at Little Ossipee Pond, and skiing at Lost Valley is one of those things you just must do. This lake is so wonderful. For you golfers we recommend close by Pleasant Hill Golf Course, and Bayley's Camping Resort is a brilliant local campground.
And that's not all you can do here at Little Ossipee Pond. After a long day outdoors Portland Regency Hotel is a delightful location to spend a night or two, and a lake close by is Great Pond. Taking a little spree to close by Boat Cove is a nice idea, and there's whitewater on Chandler Brook for all you adrenaline kick people. Fort Hill is clearly visible from Little Ossipee Pond, and Little Ossipee Pond is not the only place nearby, Richards Pond is a nearby lake.

We went to Scarborugh Beach on September 19, 2007 and were very disappointed. At the gate house a young fellow collected $4 from us. The restrooms were fenced in and locked. We did what we had to do on the beach. When the place is closed for the season why still collect an entrace fee? Gunta Eglitis from Westwood, Mass....

A canoe or kayak ride is a must! Very close to the Eastern Trail for a scenic hike of nature and wildlife.  A tranquil setting but yet close to shopping, fine dining and the beach.  Not many activities on site, but no noise either.  Also, a strong WiFi signal was nice for a change and cable TV with 70 channels at our level site.  Highly recommend if staying for a week, month or the season.  Plenty to do in the area....

This is a nice small pond just off of 302 but you can't hear any of the busy traffic. I'd recommend LOTS of bug sprays as the mosquitoes tend to swarm and are very plentiful this year. If you're not a fisherman but your children are...there are picnic tables for you to enjoy a book, needlepoint, or just relax and take in the fresh air....
