    A visit to Little Ordway Pond is always a good idea. Camping at Balsam woods Campground is always a good experience; get yourself into a kayak and hit Piscataquis River - East Branch. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Northern Pride Lodge and Campground; get covered with water paddling on Piscataquis River - West Branch. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the area right next door to Little Ordway Pond has to offer.  
   Ordway Pond is a nearby lake that you could go to, and why not a little side visit to Bald Mountain Stream.
All through the months of summer at Little Ordway Pond temperatures are mostly in the 70's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's; night lows during the wintertime for Little Ordway Pond tend to be in the-10's. There is a good hiking trail close to Little Ordway Pond called the Intake
 
               Trail, and if you get bored of Little Ordway Pond you could also explore close by Brackett Pond. If you need a spot to stay Bingham Motor Inn is a good choice.
Going for a hike on the Big Squaw Mountain Trail is always a fine adventure, and after a long day outdoors Lodge at Moosehead Lake is a great spot to spend a night or two. An average amount of precipitation falls at Little Ordway Pond; most of the rain falls during July while February is typically the driest month.

Breezy Acres Camps and Guide Service is located in both Solon and Eustis Maine. He have housekeeping cabins which are set up with full size stoves, refrigerators,microwave, coffee pot, toaster, pots, pans, dishes, etc. The beds are made with linens and there are plenty of towels for the shower in the bathroom. Each cabin has its own picnic table, charcoal grill and outside fire pit. We can sleep up to 38 people.

You can access snowmobile and ATV trails right from the cabin for many miles of riding. Canoeing and kayaking on various lakes, ponds, streams and rivers are a great way to relax. Hunting, fishing, golf and white water rafting are some of the other activities that we offer.

We offer reasonable rates and great hospitality.

Eaton Mountain provides affordable and convenient skiing, snowboarding, and snowtubing to the greater Waterville/Skowhegan area. The mountain boasts a suprising variety of terrain for a compact ski area including glades, challenging steeps, and classic New England style trails. Most of the area is covered with snowmaking and is lit for nightskiiing. Equipment rentals and lessons are available. The base lodge has a snackbar and provides a place to warm up by the wood stove and meet friends.
The ski area has new owners as of November 2008 and will not be operating for the 2008-09 ski season. The new owners will be taking the time to make improvements and prepare for a grand reopening in the fall of 2009. Immediate improvements are planned to include an all new snowtubing facility and widening of the Moose slope for a new terrain park.
The ski area is located on Lambert Road, just off Route 2 between Skowhegan and Canaan....
