This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Lodge at Moosehead Lake; Northern Pride Lodge and Campground is a great local campground. The amount of precipitation that falls at Little Notch Pond is close to the national average; through the month of July you get the most rain around here; February is when it's the driest. Hiking along the Big Squaw Mountain Trail is glorious fun, and whitewater paddling       is nice on Piscataquis River - East Branch. In case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Kennebec River - East Outlet, and if you need a location to stay Bingham Motor Inn is a glorious choice. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the neighborhood of Little Notch Pond. At Little Notch Pond during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's.                  High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the-10's for Little Notch Pond.
