Round Pond is a nearby lake that you could take a look at; you can go for a hike on the Ragged Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sheepscot River. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Little Medomak       Pond has to offer, you can camp at Loons Cry Campground. If the weather is lovely, you get a great panorama of Clarry Hill from Little Medomak Pond; a nice close by hotel is Island View Inn. Good hiking is available along the Mount Megunticook Trail, and the smiling people of Rockland like to hang out nearby. The warmest time of the year at Little Medomak Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's; the nighttime is rather cooler of course, typically                  in the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are generally in the 30's; overnight lows in the 0's for Little Medomak Pond. This lake is so wonderful.
