for a while, Matagamon Wilderness Campground is a splendid spot for that, and why not go to Millinocket Lake Dam since you're here. Whitewater paddling is perfect on Millinocket Stream; Little Marsh Pond is right by the Millinocket
Lake Tote Road. At Little Marsh Pond during the long summer days highs are in the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are typically in the 20's with temperatures at Little Marsh Pond dipping down into the-10's through winter nights.
